Equipment skids are usually used to make the transportation or lifting of any set of equipment goes easily and safely. These skids are designed to carry the equipment weight and to permit the equipment operators to access it in order to achieve the skid function.
The load carrying skids are always used for the offshore purpose and it can be designed and certified according to BS EN 12079 or DNV 2.7-1.
