ASME certified heat exchangers are designed, fabricated and tested according to ASME SEC VIII DIV 1  & TEMA to withstand the operating internal pressure for both shell & tube bundle.

The design and material selection of these pressure vessels generally depends on the operation conditions (vessel diameter, shell length, internal pressure, the type of the service fluid and operation temperature).

Type of Heat exchanger is dependent upon client preferences, ease of dismantling and cleaning process,

The nozzles’ sizes are calculated to maximize exchanger efficiency and reduce friction and prolong lifetime of exchanger.

To manufacture a U stamped heat exchanger, you have to select an ASME manufacturer who is authorized by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers to design and manufacture heat exchanger after passing the qualification audits, also this stamp requires a third party (ASME approved) to follow and approve each manufacturing step starting by the design passing through the material receiving, fit-up and welding and ending to testing stage.
